Common questions

What if I cancel?

You keep Pro until the end of the period you've already paid for, then revert to Free. Your portfolio data stays in your account — nothing is deleted. If you re-subscribe later, the then-current pricing applies (the lifetime price-lock only holds while your subscription stays continuously active).

What does "AI receipt scanning" actually do?

Snap a photo of a bullion invoice — or drop in a PDF / text file — and our AI extracts every distinct metal item (metal type, weight, purity, quantity, price, date) and pre-fills the Add Item form for each one. You review and save. Multi-item receipts walk you through them one at a time. Powered by Anthropic Claude on Pro accounts only.

Can I import my existing portfolio?

Yes. CSV import is free for everyone — drop a file from Excel, Google Sheets, Numbers etc. and Spot Bot auto-maps the columns. Pro users can also drop in PDFs, text files, photos and printed lists — the AI scanner extracts items from any of them.

Is my portfolio data private?

Yes. We never sell, share or analyse your data. Photos and notes are stored encrypted and returned only to you. Public share links are explicit opt-in and never expose photos, notes, storage locations or tags — only the metals + values you choose to show. Full details in our Privacy Policy.
